DIY Terracota Molang and Totoro Painting

My cacti had been looking a little sad as they were in their original store-bought pots, so I decided to buy some Terracotta pots and paint them. I decided on my two favorite characters Molang rabbit and Totoro grey cute spirit. I also painted some soot sprites from Spirited Away another Studio Ghibli movie. I have posted the instructions on how to achieve your very own DIY painted Terracotta pots below:

Terracotta Molang and Totoro

Instructions: Sand away Terracotta pot smooth surface then start painting pot, wait for it to dry between coats. After its dry start drawing characters, wait for it to dry then take to a well ventilated area and spray with acrylic sealer of your choice. Important wait at least 48 hours for it to dry before planting your plants and watering. Make sure to spray the inside and bottom of terracotta so that the designs will not be ruined.

If you have never seen a Studio Ghibli movie I recommend Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Princess Mononoke. All of their movies are wonderful so definitely check them out they are great for families too.

Remember to always have fun painting and keep creativity flowing o(^vvv^)o
